Occupation: Mira Veron is an aspiring Pyromancer, having learnt how to use basic spells at an alarmingly quick rate, albeit at great cost to her personal safety. It has been almost six years since she manipulated her first flame, and the dangers of pyromancy have licked at her soul since. Even so, the young woman thirsts for more power, at an increasingly fatal pace.

Hair Color: Mira has hair that closely matches the colour of a dull red, her usage of magic having charred the roots of her scalp amongst the other effects. The woman doesn't seem to pay much mind to comments about the odd colour, or she doesn't care. It seems to be something she has accepted, at least.
Hair Style: Her hair falls down to her neck, though it is not styled in any particular way. The woman lets it grow mostly unchecked for the most part, though it is clear enough from her lack of smell that she washes it frequently. It can be assumed that she also keeps it from growing too long.
Eye Color: Mira was born with brown eyes, though years of pyromancy have changed their hue permanently to a fiery orange. Like many other mages of her kind, she finds them rather unnerving, though it is easy to keep them hidden under a hood. It is a common sight, at least in the eastern countries, though she has to be more wary of attention elsewhere.
Skin Tone: Olive in most places, though her hands from her wrists upwards are charred black, an adverse effect of using pyromancy over the limits of her body. The damage to her skin seems somewhat serious, and is most likely irrepairable. The woman cannot feel anything in her hands, though she is still able to cast spells, unfortunately for her body.
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 148 lbs
Body Type: Athletic
Distinguishing Features: Mira has many distinguishing features, though they are not uncommon for a mage. She can easily be characterised by her odd coloured hair, eyes and skin, which bear the colours of fire, charred and black in some places. Beyond that, she likes wearing neutral colours, and though they do not serve to distinguish her that much from other travellers, she wears the same clothes most of the time and as such could be considered distinguishing features.

Skills and Drawbacks:
Pyromancy Having learnt how to form and manipulate magic at the age of eighteen, Mira fled her homeland of Saint-Astan after the death of her father by her hands. It was soon discovered by the local town reeve that the man had died of unnatural circumstances. Since then she has been condemned and hunted by her own family, a mother and two brothers she left behind. The woman spent the next few years of her life across the seas amongst the Medirans, honing her skills in pyromancy, however she was soon dismissed from her local school due to her recklessness and her willingness to push her body to the limits. Since then, on multiple occasions she has pushed her body past her threshold and harmed her body greviously through powerful fire spells. Her hands are charred black, and her dead skin there bears the smell of charcoal. When she touches things she leaves an odd black residue. It is not something she has been able to reverse, and the effects of pyromancy worsen with every spell.
Agility Mira has a natural ability to move quickly and fast, her build contributing mostly to this. She is able to jump to great effect, and has been known to climb walls and trees with ease. It does however, take a great physical toll out of her as using her hands for anything beyond holding items causes her great burden, as her nerves there do not work and it is hard to apply pressure or strength to one of these limbs. Also, the woman cannot run for extended periods of time, owing to the weakness of her body.
Addiction to Magic The first spell Mira casted was rather taxing on her body and soul, and whilst fueled by determination and power, was rather damaging. As a young girl with no theoretical understanding of magic she often fueled her spells with the same unbridled force. It is likely possible that irrepairable damage to her body has been caused, but beyond losing her hands and having almost no strength, there are no other visible effects. She does however, have a deep addiction for pyromancy and other substances that provide mana. Most of her time is spent attempting to take in mana, using it like a drug to soothe her lust for the substance, and to suppress her urge to use pyromancy. However, even with as many preparations as she makes, she often does not control her spells, a practice that is certain to kill her sooner than later.

Alignment: Neutral Evil
Deity: Virgil, Spear of the Night
Weaponry: Quarterstaff - A mottled old staff that Mira carries serves as both her weapon and her crutch. She does not use it as a component in any of her spells, but she finds it useful in many other ways. It is not very distinctive for a quarterstaff of it's size. Two metal bands wrap around the ends of the thing, providing some punching power, though they fall away a little as the staff ends, the wood being rather roughly hewn and charred at either end, but nothing that would give much away. It is however, wrapped in light cloth bandages, presumably to help with keeping a grip on the weapon.
Shortsword - A secondary weapon can be found tucked into her belt. It simply sits there in case it is needed, and is easily removable. She does not use a sheathe, and it does not even look like she uses it often, but it makes sense that the woman would carry a back up weapon. It looks worn, and not really made of any high quality. The only distinguishing features of the thing are its distinctive red handle wrappings and the notches in the blade.
Miscellaneous: Assorted clothes and robes, other adventurer gear including books, a backpack, some rudimentary maps of the area around Estavyr.
