Biography
Deidre grew up in Bellmare, a small coastal town in Ostia. The town struggled and often did trade with pirates for their less legitimate wares in order to survive. When Deidre turned 14 she left her home and tried to find a crew to join, in order to become a sailor. She ended up joining a pirate crew, and over time she learned how to fight. She raided a few towns and boarded a couple ships with her crew and captain and found she enjoyed the pirate life. It wasn't a luxurious life most of the time, but the constant companionship and brotherhood between pirates, even if they were assholes most of the time, was welcome in her life. Her life as a pirate led her to Belch's Bay for a few years, where she learned more about the criminal underbelly of the world and how best to survive in it. Here she found two exotic white birds that she became fond of, taking them as pets. She bought the birds and had them as pets for a brief period of time, but they died. Deidre became fond of the birds in this short time and had them preserved. She wears them on her belt so that they will always be with her. After some time in Belch's Bay she found a trade ship that planned to sail past Evesar in Aldinor, and down the Ceryn river to Estavyr. She'd always liked the idea of exploring the world, it was part of the allure of being a pirate. So, she boarded the ship and offered to be a temporary crewman, until they arrived in Estavyr where she would get off. Sure enough, she worked and helped aboard that ship and they did reach Estavyr where she stepped onto the docks and felt uncomfortable due to the stillness beneath her feet. She still isn't used to the stillness of the ground...
