| Races are divided into two main categories, basic and advanced. Basic Races - Quote :
- Basic races are the core races of the world, and are free to play assuming the absence of any special abilities and items that would need to be looked over. These are the races which most heavily populate the world, their presence universal and their ways known to all. As the appearance of these races are so often widely varied, there is a very wide margin for you to sculpt your character within reasonable boundaries.
A race is basic unless specified by the footnote at the bottom of the page.
You can play these races before your character page is officially approved and moved by an admin, or without a character page at all - though we highly recommend you do create one. Advanced Races - Quote :
- Advanced races need to be approved and put through the approval board first before they're able to be played on the server. Simply put, this is for regulation and to keep the races relatively spare and thus representative of their actual rarity. This also allows the admins to keep the more advanced (and powerful) races in the hands of the most responsible role players. It may also be the case that the race has been designed with a specific concept in mind, and some degree of regulation is required to ensure that that concept remains true.
Take extra care when making a character belonging to an advanced race, as admins will use extra caution during the consideration of your character. If you prove to be unable to handle the character in question (assuming it does pass through approval) it will be removed from you and you will be barred from playing them. In cases like these one must be blatantly power-gaming or abusing the latent powers given to them by their character's race and is no way a restriction on how to play your character. | |
