- Biography:
Duncan grew up in the forests of Eurisko. He was born in a village of peaceful druids. The village consisted of simple, straw huts surrounding a very large tree. The people of the village did not have much contact with the outside world, and often just communed with nature and further advanced their abilities. Shapeshifters were not common among the villagers, however they were also not unheard of. The only shapeshifters to be living in the village, were the three village elders.
Duncan learned at the age of 14 that he was blessed by Sylandra with the gift of Shapeshifting. All children of the village were tested for the gift by meditating in a small grove. The elders overlooked the test, instructing the children in the proper way to take the shape of a small, simple animal, such as a mouse. Four children out of the 7 who were tested were found to have the gift of Shapeshifting. This was unusual, as there were only to be three Elders in the village, who would each take on a mentee who would learn the art before eventually taking over as the leader of the village.
Duncan wound up being the odd one out, as he was the last to be discovered, and had the most difficult time passing the test. The elders came to an ultimatum: They would teach Duncan the basics of the gift, and then give him the decision to either leave the village, or continue to live on as one of the commoners. He chose the former, deciding to be the first of his village to move beyond their forest home. During his travels through the thick forests of Eurisko, Duncan came across multiple villages, furthering his art as he went. By the time he had reached the ripe age of 28, Duncan had gone far in his art, and learned quite a bit from his travels. He had mastered three forms; Bear, Badger, and the Eagle. Duncan continued to travel, eventually finding himself in Estavyr.

| I'd like to see someone talk about how the Shapeshifting magic, and if it would work / how it should be roleplayed, as I haven't seen anything like it thus far. I also wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a well-fed, fully matured, angry grizzly bear - or an angry hawk, either.
That aside, looks good, I'd like to be able to get on my own Eurisko character.

| Eurisko lore needs to get done before any Eurisko characters can be accepted.
I have no idea what type of magic shapeshifting would fall under. Sciomancy, maybe, but that's hugely illegal. I know Jacque mentioned something about a type of magic druids practice, but that's purely speculation at the moment. I wouldn't get your hopes up about this character being passed the way it is, since Advent doesn't have your stereotypical druids.
Lastly, the gods do not bestow gifts on people, nor do they act directly on the world. It's debatable whether or not they even exist. "Divine" Magic is recognized by some as a god-given form of magic, but which god is in dispute. It's more likely just another category of magic.

It doesn't really have to that the gods literally bestowed a 'gift' on them. It's just their way of reasoning why some people have the abilities they do, and why some don't. Anyways, what's his face Zaku said I could go ahead and apply for a shapeshifter, so I thought I might as well.
