Skills & Quirks:

  • Writing; Volund is a good writer. Good in the sense he can get what he needs to get written, that is.
  • Drawing; Volund is also a pretty good drawer, he can draw humanoid anatomy pretty well in a 'pretty' manner despite some of the more brutish thing he's required to draw for his book.
  • Intrigue; Volund is decent when it comes to the art of intrigue. In courtly matters he can get the job done, though he's prone to make mistakes from time to time.
  • Wimpy; Volund, himself, is rather wimpy. He's not the most athletic chap, but neither is he fat luckily, as he never liked the idea of being a walking breathing over-sized Ryoshun dumpling.
  • Ambitious; Like most noblemen or noblewomen, Volund is rather ambitious. And he has dreams, though they aren't the most bright and colorful of them all even if he doesn't know of it himself.. And only the gods knows what will happen to him, Estavyr, or even the world if they become fulfilled. (This is pending, I will talk to Zaku about this to see if this can become a thing so people have things to, like jobs from Volund and/or trying to thwart him and the sort.)

Quote :
Deity: N/A
Weaponry: A simple, small and ornate letter opener. By no means a very useful weapon, but then again he's not a very lethal man.
Apparel: Volund is wearing fancy dark-brown attire made with the finest of linen, wool and leathers. A ornate tunic, with the intricate designs of flowers, foxes, birds and other pleasantries, mainly made with linen along the torso and wool within the sleeves on the inside, the outside sporting a dark-brown leather lined with a more golden-brown linen. Clipped in place by buttons on his chest are pauldron-like shoulder covers detailed in a similar manner as to the rest of the attire, reaching over and up to his neck, coming around to conceal and back and sides of his neck, buttoned near the neck to nestle the materials with a gentle tightness against his skin. His leggings are more plain, though bare the same pattern of materials being linen, wool and leather. At the cuffs of his pants, golden brow leather makes up the rim and ventures back up in a small stripe along the pant legs before coming to the pockets, where the material splits into a outline of the pockets before coming back up around until it reaches the top. Near the pockets are designs of flowers, much like the tunic atop, though not to as great of an extent. His feet simply covered by simple, but well made black loafers. On his right middle finger resides a silver band holding in place a red, rounded ruby.
Miscellaneous: A large book, mostly containing blank pages exempt the first few detailing what the book is and what will be contained within its pages. On the cover it is titled, "The world and Thyself", under his own named written in fancy, flourishing handwriting.

Noble Skin? I'm taking this to be unblemished, fine and clean. I just want to make sure I'm in the right here.

You entailed him as a Mesomorph, 164 Lbs, and 'not a very lethal man'. This sounds a little contradictory to me. It'd be hard to maintain a mesomorphic body in this time, to my understanding, without a huge amount of rigorous training; even as a noble, as I'd assume he'd have access to more satiating and fattening foodstuffs, allowing him to have a slight amount of fat on his body even with the huge activity.

For a writer and an artist, I'm just wondering how he became such a marvel of physical fitness. His build sounds comparable to some of the Orcs I've seen.

Somatotypes has nothing to do with physical fitness, just what your body is most like to do in terms of body-fat and muscle mass.

It's a good concept, but obviously I'd like to wait until it's finished before commenting on it.

I think Advent could benefit from a character like this: a rich, unscrupulous nobleman.

Heh, the noble skin thing was there because I threw this up at around 12 and I was rather tired (and being tired caused me to have trouble thinking of a word to describe unblemished skin at the time) because people decided to come to my house and steal a fucking chainsaw and leafblower cause we totally don't fucking need these when we live on a farm where people board horses and trees fall over just to cause us grief. But straying from me grumbling and ranting about how people are assholes, I'll continue on with the topic at hand.

And it's as Mack said, Somatotypes really doesn't have much to do with the persons fitness and for the reasons he had defined as well. An in terns of the 'not a very lethal man' statement, that is both a physical, but most psychological reference. The character's by no means combat oriented, pretty wimpy, and will want to keep himself out of fights. But he's certainly the type of guy to have others fight for him.

Fair enough, I retract my comment on Mesomorphism; my apologies. I've spent far too much time on roleplays in which when someone says 'Mesomorph' it means 'Bigger than you' in every way that counts. I had to sit down and reaquaint myself with the actual definition, and rereading your page, it doesn't seem quite so poor a choice.

Thanks for the clarifications. This page is looking nice so far. = )
I hope in no way I suggested anything else, looking forward to giving a final say when it's finished.

I'm wondering why this is still in approval. Perhaps it should be moved?

It wasn't finished, and technically still isn't without a backstory. Being a noble justifies one, as it comes with a lot of perks.

Ah, right. My bad. On another note I like where this character is going. I think it would be a good thing to represent another portion of the population living in Estavyr, though at the same time too many nobles spoils the fun.
